Started in 2002 by Andrew Milisits and Konstantinos Karanikas, AITHERAS was the culmination of the two entrepreneurial spirits wanting to help people and organizations by offering the highest quality validation, verification and testing services.The company was started with sweat equity and “bootstrap money” from Mr. Milisits and Mr. Karanikas. The sweat equity was derived from the industry experience Mr. Milisits and Mr. Karanikas possessed. Mr. Milisits was a certified Siebel and PeopleSoft software application developer as well as a system architect. Mr. Milisits also had the skills to strike out on his own as a 1099 consultant performing application development work for clients like Invitrogen. Prior to working in IT, Mr. Milisits held several lead roles in the financial services industry. Mr. Karanikas, during his preAITHERAS work, was a certified Mercury Interactive software tester performing several client implementations. Mr. Karanikas also was successful sales engineer in the QA industry, having performed several product demonstrations and closing subsequent sales deals. The initial cash amount invested by each individual was $6,100 on 12312002. AITHERAS used the initial investment for web site creation, legal fees associated with incorporating the firm and vendor partnership fees to become an official reseller of Mercury Interactive softwareservices. In the earlier time line of AITHERAS both individuals were working their full time jobs during the day and building up the company during the evening hours, often working until the early morning.
